Susie leads the broader organisation in her role as Group Managing Director and Executive Chair since 2018. Within the CFG business she has held the roles as Director of Engineering and Asset Management, Director Consulting, and continues to act as the Managing Director of GoTrain. She leads the governance and strategic planning of the organisation and has a passion for building a values led culture and leading people to understand the why of what they do.
Susie had 20 years’ experience in large manufacturing companies and consulting firms before joining Sterling Group in 2009. She has led and managed large numbers of people in all facets of an organisation, across all business disciplines. She has proven experience as a thought leader, project and program manager working in a number of disciplines where she has demonstrated outstanding ability to deliver and successfully manage complex stakeholder environments.

Bronwyn Hodgekiss
National Operations Manager
Bronwyn leads the GoTrain Operations Team across Australia. She comes from a strong background in compliance and regulatory operations in the VET sector with over 30 years’ experience in management, administration and finance and 10 years in VET compliance. Bronwyn brings a strong sense of leadership with a focus on quality outcomes for both students and staff.
Prior to her commencement at CFG Bronwyn held the position of Head of Compliance and Training Operations at NAISDA Dance College where she supported the development of an innovative arts-based curriculum. She has also worked as a Compliance Consultant and Business Development across several different sectors.
Stacey Brown
Curriculum Manager
Stacey has been working in the Vocational Education and Training Industry for nine years in a variety of roles. She has extensive experience across project management, compliance and development of training materials for accredited & non-accredited courses utilising both in-person and online delivery methods.
Stacey entered the training industry after 12 years of managing and training teams in diverse retail environments. Her ability to manage contract team members and deliver high quality projects for both our corporate clients and in-house training, makes her a natural fit in her role as GoTrain’s Curriculum Manager.
Monica Groth
Qld Admin/ Office Co-Ordinator
Monica joined Go Train in early 2022, delivering a smile and much needed administrative and reception support to our busy Qld Office. Her years of experience in the transport and logistics field brings a wealth of customer service and administration skills to the team, enabling her to efficiently manage and co-ordinate multiple tasks.
Since starting with Go Train, Monica has assisted with providing a “one-stop-shop” of entry level requirement for the Queensland rail industry and is now co-ordinating appointments for our Category 3 Rail Medical team.
Monica enjoys a challenge and a bit of a chat, happily assisting each student and client in reaching the end goal of becoming qualified to access the rail network within Queensland Rail.
Branwen Nellis
Vic. Admin/ Office Co-Ordinator
Branwen comes to Go Train’s Vic team with 7.5 years of experience in RTO Admin Management for High Risk, Rail and Construction Industries. Her breadth of know-how from within the training landscape and background in sourcing equipment for rail and civil projects, gives her added insights in the training requirements that enable students to achieve their chosen role.
Branwen’s love of variety in her work is easily fulfilled through her participation in making sure the Vic CFG office runs like well-oiled machine. The complexity of the rail industry and the multiple Rail Operators in Vic give her endless opportunities to demonstrate her expertise in meeting the needs of both our clients and our students.
Marcheyell Moka
NSW Admin/ Office Co-Ordinator
Marchie’s big smile and cheerful voice has been welcoming clients at our NSW office since February 2023, when she joined Go Train. Her ten-years of experience in sales and customer service makes her a perfect fit to strengthen systems and processes to support our students.
Since a recent move from Melbourne, Marchie has fallen in love with the beach lifestyle in Newcastle and is relishing the challenges of the rail and training industries. She has quickly become an integral part of our Admin team, proving herself in all facets of her role.
Mark Miitel
Victorian Training Manager
Mark leads the GoTrain Training Division in Victoria. With over 30 years of experience in the training sector, he provides a depth of knowledge that keeps students engaged throughout the entirety of a course.
Prior to joining GoTrain, Mark held the role of State Operations Manager for an Australian RTO. His experience in training consists of 20 years directly related to the Rail Industry and several years in the Mining & Civil/Road Construction Industry, providing him with a unique knowledge of safety. As a focused leader, Mark has covered all aspects of safeworking, technical skill development and specialist programs in non-technical skills.
Mark is a dedicated and knowledgeable trainer who holds a Master of Business Management and a Diploma in Project Management.
Jason Loft
Qld Lead Trainer
Jason joined Go Train in August 2021 and has since been delivering our Queensland Rail (QR) courses, providing students with the knowledge to work safely within the QR rail corridor.
Jason is thorough in his delivery bringing relevant industry experience from 20+ years of employment with QR. During those years he progressed as a track worker to take on the roles of local track gang supervisor, track machine operator and Protection Officer. In Jason’s last few years with QR he worked as a High-Performance Safety Coach. Throughout his career with QR, Jason became equipped with extensive rail knowledge. This enables him to provide an fun and supportive training environment that facilitates student engagement and knowledge retention.
Jason is qualified to deliver a range of course’s including: Queensland PO and RCPO courses, QR SARC, QR WET and several other industry related courses.
Wally Elford
NSW Lead Trainer
Wally joined the NSW team in July 2022, tasked with the delivery of our Track Certifier and Rail Welding courses. However, you won’t find him resting between welding workshops, his 24 years of rail industry experience means he’ll also be training students in rail infrastructure and ARTC Safeworking certifications.
We’ve been keeping Wally busy since he joined GoTrain, and he’s demonstrated his ability to supervise the build of platforms, turnouts, stabling yards and turn-back projects, by helping build our enclosed rail environment at Beresfield. This new training facility will be where you can often find Wally when onsite, as he transforms the practical aspects of the learning experience for our students, giving them the opportunity to learn on track in a non-live ‘Danger Zone’.
Phil Barker
Qld Rail Trainer
Phil joined GoTrain in 2020 as a casual trainer conducting various courses in rail operations and safety. His breadth of experience in both the rail and training industries makes him a valuable contributor to the Go Train team as a trainer and courseware developer.
A rail operations safety professional, Phil has many years of senior and executive level management experience in Government and private sector organisations. Phil is well known and respected within the rail industry for his expertise in the areas of rail operations, specialising in rail safety management, safeworking systems and procedures, risk, and regulation.
Phil has established himself as a professional and dedicated trainer, focusing on improving student outcomes within the QR inductions and GoTrain rail operations courses, including Certificate IV in Train Driving.
