Description
The Safeworking Level 1 training course is about managing track vehicle movements on the ARTC Defined Rail Network in NSW.
This course contains 4 core units of competency that all students need to undertake, they are:
- TLIC0084 Access rail track to travel track vehicles under manual block working
- TLIF3058 Apply safeworking rules and regulations to rail functions
- TLIW3026 Operate stand-alone signalling-points equipment
- TLIC0016 Identify and respond to signals and trackside signs

How long does it take?
This training is conducted over four days from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm each day and then a further assessment day after the completion of on-the-job learning.
Will I need to undertake Work Placement?
Yes. Once you complete the face to face hours you are then required to complete a logbook that will gather your experience on the job. You will be required to have your supervisor sign off on the logbook as you complete each area. The logbook will take you approximately 120 hours to complete.
