Description
The Non-Technical Skills (NTS) training helps to ensure everyone undertaking protection work is able to confidently apply and execute the ARTC approach for protection.
The core purpose of this course is to focus on “how” protection is applied and enhances the participant’s Non-Technical Skills and increases their awareness and confidence in delivering protection to the safest possible level.
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum class numbers apply to this course due to assessment/activity requirements.
How much does it cost?
The course costs $250 per person.
A discount is available for group booking of over 6 participants, however, classes are limited to a maximum of 12 people.
How long does it take?
This course is conducted over 1 day from 7.30am to 3.00pm.
What are the Entry Requirements?
Participants must be engaged by an approved contractor and have already completed the required pre-learning on ARTC’s online training portal prior to enrolling in this course. The pre-learning requirements include:
- Non-Technical Skills e-learning, and
- Network Communications Standards e-learning.
Who needs to attend this course?
According to the ARTC SWIP External Briefing FAQs:
“Moving forward anybody that holds a valid current PO/TFPC/TW role and works on the ARTC network, will need to complete the Non-Technical Skills training. It will be a mandatory component of every role.”
This means it is a mandatory requirement for individuals working in the ARTC network in the following Safeworking roles:
- Protection Officer Levels 1 – 4
- Track Force Protection Coordinators Levels 1 – 3
- Track Workers Levels 1 – 4

Where can I attend the NTS training?
Go Train Industry is offering NTS training at our NSW office in Beresfield and our Victorian office in Kensington.
